Why reinvent the wheel. Low percentage of cur dogs even make decent dogs so why start with even worse odds? Takes the same time and money to feed a good dog that it does for a sorry one. People have been hunting hogs for a while. You are not going to make or find a better dog. In fact, I am pretty sure people have messed up most lines and breeds attempting to make a dog something it isn't.

Ducks right about most dogs sucking at their job, do I believe all new hunters should spend several years trying to Frankenstein the perfect dog. You know, like they do in Australia. Take the doberman/cur add in some heeler, maybe some Labrador or spaniel. Then cross them over the biggest heaviest blue pit you can find.
