Was reading an older topic about line breeding and it raised a couple questions for me, that i hope some of yall can help me with.
Ive got a year old pup right now that is startin to make a dog, his brothers who are hunted ALOT are some real fine dogs. Im wanting to keep the blood, however the breeding which produced these pups was accidental in a way. My male bulldog who was to only be a pet got to her the DAY before he was neutered

. However i am still kicking myself because it was a good cross.
I have access to one of the Gyp's littermate sister, however my friend who wanted to hunt turned his Gyp into a house pet.
Now being the original male to the pups is not an option would i yall suggest breeding one of the pups to the full sister house pet when the time comes? Or breeding son to mother? To me that seems a little tight.
Are the dogs of a purebred breeding? If they are cross bred, you shouldn't be concerned with going too tight...not gonna happen. If they are purebred dogs...you can still go as tight as you want...you'll know when you need to go into a different line when you start seeing a degradation in the dogs.
