I can tell you, that the main arguments will be they regrip, they will cur out after getting cut, they cost more to feed than a pit, they are probe to skin conditions, they are beginning to develop a reputation as human aggressive, they were bred to be a pack dog and as such they shouldn't be relied on as a single catch dog and so on and so forth. All of these arguments do have some merit, BUT I can tell you what I believe.
Though I have still not met you personally, I have heard good things about your curs and your family. This information combined with my conversations with you leads me to believe that you are not the type (or you know better than) to cut your catch dog loose and then chicken out and leave him swinging in the breeze.
As long as you are ready and willing to back your catchdog up, and as long as your curs are also jumping in and catching that hog, I believe you'll be cTching hogs just fine.
Now all this comes with the premise that every dog is different and you need to get him to the woods ( when he's matured and ready) and keep him there.
Best of luck to you bud, looking forward to them pics and stories from the woods.
thanks t bob thats the same thing i was thinking
