Use contact cleaner. Alcohol but it also helps to remove gunk. I soaked a phone in blood. I got contact cleaner and cleaned it up. One button did not work anymore. I know an engineer at HP. They use a vat of stuff like contact cleaner but just the liquid and dip things in it. Alcohol absorbs water like crazy. It also goes into the phone and finds the water. Yes rice and things work. Alcohol works better.
