I don't know if it's right or not but I treat bulldogs and bay dogs different as far as starting them. I'll show a bay dog a shoat at 12 weeks but the bulldog won't see one till about 10 months. If a bay dog pup does what you want it's just gonna bark. If a catch dog does what you want then he's gonna catch. It's always been the teeth issue with me. Just the way I was taught.
