I knew you were'nt talking about overheating, I was just stateing other benefits of the vest. When I was talking about water passing through the eyelets I was talking about when they are in a stock tank or river the water  does'nt weigh the vest down like some other brands do. I've seen horses that could'nt swim but never a dog. That's weird, can he swim without a vest ?
