That's like a ford vs Chevy question!
Most ppl like myself are set in there ways one way or another on what kind of dogs they run and how they hunt them. But in my openion if you are walk hunting and having hogs break put some man eater poacher style dogs on the ground and don't give the hog a chance to break bay. Or run you a rcd with a little go that will stay with your dogs and the hog won't have a chance to run. I rarely walk hunt but this is the kind of dogs I have always used and always will. I have a good friend that beleaves in loose dogs and a lead in cd. Always talk smack back and forth about witch way is better and just agree to disagree lol. It's whatever works for you but IMO ruff dogs are the way to go screw letting him settle I want him caught as quick as possible.
