may have something to do with the white pigment . i know the herfords are and charliase are bad about pinkeye and eye cancers do to the sun . but good question or maybe it's the crazy gene that are in alot of fence jumpimg , gate crashing charlaise and bramahs lol
Charolais don't have pink skin like you might think and have a lot of pigment , pinkeye and cancer eye is a bad hereford trait. Chars that I've had were terrible at gate/fence crashing, both bulls and cows aike.
Is a white brahma immuned to the pigment issues? I've seen some pretty damn big braford and crossbred cows that will weigh 14-1600 lbs and nobody was saying "to big" they were saying thats a damn nice cow. I'm not discounting you thoughts just playing devils advocate.
not uncommon for a pure Charolais cow to weigh 1600lbs, through in the growth from heterosis that results from crossing with the brahma and you stand the chance of having A LOT bigger cow, which will result in a less efficient cow which will definantly effect your bottom line.
