I have always had good luck with my catch dogs. And I never relized and admire him until I had to hunt behind a sorry one. So with that being said I would pay a good bit for one just like him.  But like mike said in my opinion a good strike dogs are hard to come by and a good catch dog will never mean as much as to me as a good strike dog will
