i have had several bulldogs but i have had 2 that i could really be proud to own . one is retired now and is a pet and the other one met his maker a few months ago. both was easy handle had none of that whiney bark to them, rode the four wheeler good ,would go to a dog bark no matter how far away and be on ear 100% of the time and it wasnt any guessing about if he had it caught or not he wasnt letting go. when i retired that one a few years back i had another to replace him so i didnt know how valuable he really was. i was given the other dog back at the first of the year from some good friends of mine and when he was killed i realized a good bulldog aint a dime a dozen we had to make due with other $h!T for a while that might catch or might go the other way, you just never knew when you turned them loose. a real good catch dog is hard to beat but to me are not worth a whole lot of money. id say 200 max. you can get by with a crappy bulldog but you wont do very good with a crappy strike dog .they wont ever be in the same category to me.
