I wouldn't purposely get in the water but we have roped them and drug them up the bank or snagged them with fusing poles. Do y'all not have them out there? If there is a puddle you are guaranteed there is something in it.
We used to swim in some really sketchy places that you couldn't talk me into getting on now...I remember as a lid swimming in a rock pit that the owner had attempted to rid of a gator but he never found him until he seen him still swimming around a few days later and we swam in that pit all weekend long.
They seem a lot more brassier these days then back when we were little...I sure wish they would open the doors to hunting them or give out ore tags.
