boarsnest. Not saying that there are not some good Kemmers. Just saying they are few and far between. I do not know to many breeders who breed unproven stock in any breed of hunting dog. That is why it is getting harder every year getting top big game dogs. IMOA.. More back yard breeders breeding stock that should not be bred. Mr Kemmer is a very nice man and he remembers every dog that was in his yard since day one. He had some good dogs when he was hunting everyday at Renegade. He is a small game hunter with Feist now, and more people are using Kemmers for that as well. Its hard to have Top dogs produce themselves, and even harder for unproven dogs. Enjoy whatever breed puts the game in front of you!!
I had better luck for my style of hunting with Florida Curs. Going by myself with just 1-3 dogs that have to be silent, medium range, and catch their own hogs by themselves. Do not know to many people that have that kind of Kemmer. I have always liked the looks, athletic ability, and nose of a Kemmer but most were not silent or yipped on trail. What line of Kemmers do you have??
