I'm sorry the girls dog got shot but folks should keep there dogs put up and moreso bullbreeds..  There is a blue n white APBT running round here for a month or so, he ain't aggressive but scares the kids at the bus stop and all the folks around here keep stopping to ask if it's ours and we don't even own a pit.  I called animal control as we have a good relationship just to keep them off my azz.  Law enforcement aren't trained to deal with dogs and most are scared, I don't agree with it getting shot but they should have been contained.

I agree, the bad thing about some pit bulls is that once they fire up they usually don't quit...just one that will do that from a thousand is too much and that negative publicity we do not need...
