If there was that much blood from her "area".....she could be getting injured by the male and herself struggling to pull themselves apart after they tied. And IF that were the case, that is not good. I know alot of folks are old school, ans allow dogs top breed by tossin' em in a pen together, and that works for some folks. But, there is the risk of the dogs hurting themselves internally by pulling apart too soon, which is why it's good to standby when doing a breeding, and hold the dogs still if need be till mother nature sets in and the dogs 'part' naturally. That's just my take on the issue.
