ALL paperwork/pedigrees are is a way to keep track of what dogs were bred to what to produce whom. Nothing more nothing less. Before there were registires way back when, folks used to keep handwritten pedigrees to keep track of their dogs' lineage. All a modern day regisrty does for the most part is take your money to print you a pedigree on a pretty piece of paper to keep in your records, and a registration certificate to tell you that you own your dog, lol.
