I'm sorry the girls dog got shot but folks should keep there dogs put up and moreso bullbreeds..  There is a blue n white APBT running round here for a month or so, he ain't aggressive but scares the kids at the bus stop and all the folks around here keep stopping to ask if it's ours and we don't even own a pit.  I called animal control as we have a good relationship just to keep them off my azz.  Law enforcement aren't trained to deal with dogs and most are scared, I don't agree with it getting shot but they should have been contained.

Would you feel the same if the neighbor shot your cur off a bayed hog on his land ?
Here in Florence the city cop shot two dogs months back. National media was all over it. Cop shot both dogs on the owners property.  I wish law enforcement was trained a little more dealing with dogs. The money saved from law suits would offset the training costs.

Mike, thats a whole nother ball game...my main point was that folks should keep there dogs contained ...of all breeds, but bull breeds are gonna catch chit and not get the benefit of the doubt very often. I bet my big black Striker dog would get shot in the city if he were runnin round barkin as big as he is he could scare people.  I didn't say it was righ nor do I agree but it is what it is....keep you dog put up to the best of your abillities and if you have a continuing problem fix it.
