I have not used a catch dog in three years and have had more big hogs around  270 lbs hogs caught than most around here with bulldogs and I dont even like to  catch them cause to me 25 cents a pound aint worth the time  .  I use all cur dogs now I got a bulldog for the corn cause I dont like running threw the corn for a 1000 acres .   We shoot over our dogs ,  we tie hogs when we want to if we decide we want to sell them are use them in a pen  ,  we stab hogs when we want to ,  we hunt to eat hogs when we want to are a buddy are a friend needs the meat  ,  we kill them and leave them lay also if we are trying to help a farmer clean  his crops out .  Its all a matter of what your doing and how you are doing it and there is differnt circumstances for differnt times .  I am not gonna carry a 250 lb boar hog for three miles before I can get him on my four wheeler for nobody .  

Anybody says any differnt and they have not done it all these differnt  ways has not been a hog hunter very long  and might need to get off the internet a while and get in the woods.

There is not a thing wrong with anyway a man wants to do it .  Tie , Catch, Shoot, Stab, bring them out a live are let them lay.  One way don't make you are your dogs  anybetter than anybody else.  I hear and see this all the time its a bunch of BS if you think just because you tie a hog it makes you better are your dogs.
