hate listening to tails banging in the box, and i just prefer the look of a bob tailed dog.

X2 and i hate them tail wacking me on my bad knee. if my pups are not born stub tailed, they get docked with in 3-7 days of being born. the last litter i used castration bands. worked great and pups didnt yap and no blood. they fell off.

Does it bother them any.. this may sound dumb but does a natural bob tail dig have mire balance then a dog with a dock tail?

I had a litter of pups about a year and a half ago, i bobbed what i wanted to keep and a few that were picked out by friends that wanted bobbed as well,  the rest were kept natural.  All the dogs out of the litter are doing good whether they are bobbed or not. After seeing that litter turn out like they did whether bobbed or not, i really dont think it makes a difference.

On a side note, the dog i had in highschool got hit by a truck, took him to the vet, they had to bob his tail cause it was messed up big time.  He was three when he got hit, he lived to 15, and never missed a beat.
