Chance, yes the same problem of catch and release applies to boars and sows as well. The polygraph at the TDHA contest has all ways contained that question the last couple of years.

One thing to remember is that hunting is hunting and that a contest is a contest. A contest has got to have rules and those rules are designed to provide a level playing field for all who enter. 

We all have different styles of hunting and different ways we do things. We all have to change things up a bit to conform to the rules of a contest, the barr rule would be no different.

The exclusion of barrs has got nothing to do with how hard they are to re-catch, its the fact that they have been caught before and that they will weigh more because they have been cut.
