Machito is rough by nature about like LT.  Just have to decide if you want that kind of dog and if you don't decide if you like him enough to put up with it.  LT is too rough for me and I prefer a loose dog but he's always been one of my favorite dogs so I put up with it.  Also if you don't argue with your wife about hog dogs it will make having hog dogs that much more enjoyable.
