I totally disagree with a older dog. If they are any kind of hog dog at over a year old they should show some interest even if a person just got them. I understand puppies and old dogs. 13 months old should be biting at the bit to be turned loose. I'm gonna give them time, time enough to get my money back. Nothing excited these dogs that whole time except the deer that ran infront of us on the way out. They did chase it a few hundred yards

Man just by him telling you to put them down is enough to tell you they're junk.

I don't candy coat nothing, and you can read all the BS on the Internet and buy into it if you want.  A hog dog is a hog dog, they see a pig they better know what it is.  Some dogs take an adjustment period hunting wise, you can't take a brand new dog and expect a superstar right then, but you dang sure can expect them to know what a hog is.
