here is what i would do with those dogs. take this hog you have down in the creek bottoms or were ever you got. (leave the dogs at home) drag him thru the brush a good ways then put him in a cage hide in the brush. take those young dogs down and turn em out , startem toward the trail but stay behind them and let them find the trail to the hog. you can evaluate your dogs this way and see who wants to be up front.
now you still have a hog and you can do it again. turn out one dog this time see what they can do.
i leave the dogs at home or some where they cant watch you hide the hog..
this is how i start my pups at about 4 or 5 months old.
the hog you have is gona run off and leave your pups most likley if you turn him loose.
once your pups hit the ground looking for a hog then take him to a fresh spot and turn him loose.
i will also tie a hog off in the brush and ride your dogs past him down wind see if they will wind from the atv
