That Sheriff Joe Arpaio in AZ told the Feds if they came and tried to do some thing... can't remember what... he would arrest them. They did not do it. Your local sheriff's have ALOT more power than most people realize.

All it takes people to start calling the Fed Govt's bluff. They will back down or it will get nasty.
