Some times you have to do, what you don't want to do. It's your call. I don't think any man would tell you, to put your dog down. It's hard to just give up on one. What are you feeding him ? Alot of old dogs can't eat hard dog food. I would try can dog food or do like the old hunters, and feed him corn mill mixed with eggs. Also some old dog just needs to get out more and move around. To get the blood pumping. You may have to put him in a bigger pen also, if his not in one already.
