Solo Hunt

Hog is not caught...never saw the hog...the way J.P. was acting and the way the situation unfolds...makes me think VERY large sow. J.P. was nosing around a brush pile not far from the nasty thicket...I think there were piglets there.

Anyway...no dogs but J.P. around...bulldog gone....big trouble. I wait....nothing...I walk...wait...nothing. I walk...listen...a bark...WAY OFF...easy 600-700 yards...I walk 100 yards...listen...is that squealing? Doesn't last long...I pick up the pace...cover 200 yards...yes squealing and I hear Jasper barking/whining. Another 150 yards....creek...deep and wide...hear sporadic squealing and jasper barking...clear...maybe 150 the other side but moving away. BIG PIG!!!
