Ha. We call this "happy tail" in the bulldog world. Once they bust it open, it's going to be a chronic issue. You can always TRY to wrap the end of her tail up in vet wrap before you load her up if she'll leave it alone. At home, you could put her on a cable runner or chain to have her out in the open with nothing to hit her tail on. We had a few clients over the years that actually paid to have their dogs' tails docked to remedy the issue.
