The other problem I see is that the dog would pull flat and not be able to go over stuff as easy. I just don't have a hard time dragging pigs. Aftter tying the legs I bring the rope up and around the head and mouth and tie it. Then attach a rope to the head so you are dragging them nose first. That is how they run through stuff so they drag real easy. Dragging them sideways is harder. On the other end of the rope I tie a rescue knot and use it like a harness on my shoulders. Then I just walk out and the pig comes right behind me. If I step over something pulling from the shoulders lifts the pigs nose so it goes right over most of the time. . But with my bad knees I can do it. You use your own weight to drag the pig. One of the times the extra pounds help you.
