i start my young dogs on the ground first ,, once they start striking on the ground then i teach them to ride an load up on comand. then after that they ride beside my old dog . when he strikes i get out an un snap the pup and send him. it dont take long to teach one , u just have to have the hogs to hunt. teach him to ride the hood then worry about the striking. come go with me or some one that does it and watch. you just dont put a dog on the hood and he strikes. most dogs get scared or jump off or lay down
