I had a dog do the same thing sounds like. I was feeding her double and she never would gain weight. come to find out my wormer did not kill tapeworms. Thought i had it all coverd but i did not. They sell a pill at my local feed store that is just for tape worms cost about $12 a pill it good for 50 pound dog. Fixed mine right up. I give it to all my dogs monthly now
