we run collars (when we have extra ones) under the first two straps of the vest on their body, looks goofy, but seems to work. I think it's a good idea if you have em to keep collars on catch dogs, they seem to get lost just as much as baydogs and are in greater danger because of obvious reason of getting hurt.
