where I'm from, a cur dog  better only be barking if it is "lookin" at either cattle or hogs. Anything open is a cull Wink

I also like a silent stand off cur.  But have learned very quickly that it is more of a terrain and preference issue. 
In these thickets where hogs have been ran and dogged for over a hundred years .....that would be one silent cur dog. Haha.

He better catch it immediately or run the air out of him.....cause no doubt its gonna run.
