I grew up with running walkers or fan tails as some call them. Ours were long and lean legs for days. I have seen these dogs run a track from sun up till after dark. I'm not talkin balling around I mean flat out moving. I have no idea how many miles they covered but to make the loop they did in a truck it would take atleast a couple hours. I have seen a many a deer bust a farm field wide open with their belly dragging the groun and them walkers would be less the 75 yards hot on their heels.
