When you register your Plotts through UKC they will all get PR; no special testing required.  Your pup will have PR in front of his/her name too.  It really doesnt mean sqaut and you dont have to pay any attention to it.

Do know the fellow you mentioned but I would be happy to talk with you about other dogs in the pedigree if I know them.
