I posted this on another thread...but been breaking some sure enough gamey mt curs in the past and I use very little deer scent...I used to give three sessions to my pups/dogs but I am willing to bet that with the second session my dogs are deer broke...but I make a statement to my dogs...I don't get mad at all...it is the deer that is the problem for them...and the shock collar is on the highest setting and of course the cattle prod is always on high...

my young hog dog pack are showing some promise...but they ran some deer a couple times...so I introduced them to my deer mount with a dash of deer scent on a rolled up white paper towel that I tacked on to the mount...and some electoral theropy...  last week I just tapped em a little and yesterday when they smelled the deer they were pretty nervous...got the alpha dogs attention in each kennel and a little on the other dogs...they were looking for a way out...I let them out in the yard and they sure dodged the charging deer mount and gave him lots of room...I don't think they will be running any more deer... been using the same bottle of deer scent going on 20 years and it is still half full...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
