It's seems to me if a wolf made a good hunting dog, Then we would still have wolves instead of the various breeds. The original domesticators seemed to be moving away from the wolf and weve been moving away ever since. Just a thought. My neighbors had a wolf dog once. It was a mutt. They loved him cause they read books and watched movies where every indian had a wolf dog that was the best fighting/hunting dog around. I have never seen one that was any more than worthless for anything besides biting and running away when your trying to catch them.
My father in law had an artic wolf, he was a cool dog. Worthless but cool.
