Pistol question?

Underdog I realy like that Springfield full size! I've shot one of them about two years ago an was very accurate and not nearly as loud as that .40 I had. The buddy of mine that owned the gun stressed that I should by one if I ever bought another hand gun because of the dependability that Springfield has.
There's so many choices and prices out there. But if my life is on the line I want something that I have no doubt will work. Plus if I have a dog to cull or someone needs to borrow it to cull their dog, I want it to be there when I need it
