One rule that will keep you safe for the most part.

Summer Time Hunting .

That rule is never hunt a place that does not have water on it by that I mean tanks , ponds , creeks are rivers !  The more the better.  If its only got one pond and is 2000 acres you better know how to get to it in a hurry .  I never hunt in the summer time without the place having water that I can get to for my dogs in a reasonable amount of time  .
