You can slow a dog down by slowing yourself down. No fancy collar needed. You hunt for a bit and then grab the dogs. I don't have big places so dogs are used to being put back in the truck and let out. Watch your dogs when they come by. Carry water with you but my dogs find their own water most of the time. Go hunt your dogs in the day with water nearby and see what your dogs do. Mine will go get in the water. So I just hunt and know if the dog gets too hot they will find water and cool off. So I worry more about gators than heat. It gets hotter the gators get more active.
