Plain and simple I could not run the rcd/finder holders I do with oit a garmin. A good boar dont alwaus make a noise and without the garmin I would be lost on them.  My refresh rate is pretty quick but my buddys is longer to conserve battery life on his dog that will not hardly quit a hog soit takes a while for his to up date
