I'm not "old" but at 43 I ?THINK? I have a certain level of Maturity in certain situations. When I was younger....I was either fearless or stupid. I.E. 1988, Military, my first parachute jump. I never had a single negative thought. Was it that I trusted the training or that I was stupid?  Grin

Same scenario, Operation Just Cause (the Panama, Noriega thing) 500ft jump, 1:00 a.m. Into an enemy airfield. Mind was blank for all intensive purposes. I mean I was focused on our mission objectives but that's about it, lol. Again....was I just confident in my training and those around me or was it just a different mental state at the time?

Fast Forward 15 years.....

Halfbreed and I were on a decent Boar and....I don't remember what exactly happened but the Boar was a split second from getting free...or actually...I think he got free a split second before I tackled him.  Undecided Not the smartest decision probably but we came out unscathed so I guess it was all good.

That was a few years ago and things are a little different now. I tend to analyze the situation a little more when I have the chance.....not to a point that it is hazardous to me or anyone else because if you put me in that exact situation again the outcome would probably be the same....but....im less apt to take chances now when I don't have to.

Hell I don't know....im probably still just stupid  Tongue
