The two that top my list are hunters that you take to your spots & they go back bringing other hunters & the ones that think they have to take every hog out. Granted, I know there are spots where the landowner wants them gone or dead with no exceptions. I am not talking about those spots but places where everybody hunts. We probably release 85% of the hogs we catch on the spot unless somebody wants to get one mounted or stick one in the freezer, but some people just cannot stand the thought of letting one go. I guess I dont get it.
I will never understand this either mike alot of guys down here in s LA don't get it .they kill to many hogs ,I think they think its a competition on who can kill the most hogs they need to ease up !

Louie, In places there are hog problems. In others, there is so much pressure on the hogs they barely make it. I hunt for the fun & sport of it. The places I am talking about, you can hunt there during deer season or turkey season & places like that are hard to come by so we are a little protective of it. I have never minded if somebody wants to kill a hog for meat or to mount one. But to take out every hog you catch in a area like that is like shooting yourself in the foot.
Most of the places we hunt, we do what the landowner wants. If he wants them dead, they are dead or taken out.
On public hunting ground we turn loose probably 90% of the hogs we catch, where we catch them at.
