I look forward to hearing how he catches, he is definitely gonna be thick... He looks like a little angus bull.
I never started a catch dog before. He's 8 months. I use to bring him everyday in the woods with me to feed my
hog in the pen but he showed no interest in the pig. Maybe 1 or 2 barks from outside the pen. I quit taking him
about 3 months ago. Any suggestions as to when and how to start him would be appreciated. I have a spot in
Mississippi that I can work him with another catch dog but that won't be later till the fall. He will be about a year then. I have a barr about
150 in a 8 x 16 pen. Just need a little guidance . Also awhile back there was a post that mentioned some sort
of exercise or workout you could do to prevent head shaking and re gripping. I searched but can't find it.
Have had bulldogs my whole life and some turn on real early some you have to wait on. And a lot of times its like a switch one day off the next day on. I'm pretty sure he will turn on, some are just late starters. But I'm sure some of the other ways that were mentioned might work to get him started quicker.
