x2...my opinion...we tend to see things differently and sometimes it has to do with how we think and our experience level but that is what makes the world go round...

Some dogs start out gritty and if they get lucky and live long enough they get smarter with age and learn how far to push their grit they back off accordingly and they live a long time...others don't back off much and will eventually not make it or they will have to learn to hunt in a vest...I don't think it has to do with filing the teeth back...a good example is a bull dog that loses it's canines and he will continue doing his job without them...just not as effective as before but some can still do a fair job without them...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
