It's pretty clear the kid could have got away but instead he stopped trying to get away knowing he could kick Zimmermans ass. I dont see where everyone comes off thinking Zimmerman should have easily handled him the kid was in entirely better fighting shape than a fat Mexican 10 years older. Than him. How many of you were in better shape at 30 than 17?
at 17...I was pretty stout from shoveling cement most of the day and sometimes running the big jack hammer at a 30 degree angle...it was a hot summer job but I was in shape...
This kid probably never had a job, and it wouldn't have been a strenuous job like that if he did but I'd be willing to bet he played some sort of ball on a regular basis. Not to mention he was apparently a regular fighter.
Heres another thing to think about for those of you who say you wouldn't have shot... Have you ever been in a fight to where your opponent had you in a full mount? I have and I promise you'll do whatever you can to get out of that there's no doubt your in fear when your opponent has full control of you.
