well a lot of it is pressure but for the most part this drought has got the hogs moving all over texas looking for greener pastures . where ever you find a good supply of food and water you will find hogs . the litter numbers drop off significantly in times of stress .
what I have noticed about hogs is that as the drought gets worse and the water tanks, ponds, and sloughs recede and dry up the hogs concentrate closer to those water supplies and only venture out to feed but yet not too far from the water...once the it rains and there are puddles that last a week or so they move out for a while...as the water dries up they migrate back to where water is available...at least that is my interpretation as to what I have seen...
