Mine is on the ground hunting every minute any of my dogs are. He can and will cover ground if necessary. I run a rough pack with him so when he catches he has back up till I get there. I don't let my dogs get much further than 500 yards before I start closing gaps and looking for ways to the bay. It's not a wait for the bay game running a RCD. It's a stay close when they show bayed get to stepping.
