I use 3/16 cable and make my on . Make the loop end tight and even pench it some to make it bite some . Set them on telephone poles useing about four foot of chain and a swivel ,put the chain on the pole up high as posable . I use two staples and a small stick to hang the loop out from the pole , this catches them by the head most of the time .A hog won't choke them selves and the chain being tied hi stops them from getting leverage. Butter up the poles with used diesel engine oil . Caught some big hogs like this!!!
