U have to be able to catch it to stop it. If the dog can't get thru the under brush fast enough it's not gonna happen unless the hog decides to stop. I have a dog that I have seen run down a hog in an open field and catch it. I have seen this same dog chase a shoat 2 miles before it decided to stop. If my 2 best dogs can get close enough it will stop. I have had races where they could not get close enough.
