Kevin, threw all the years I never really worried about all of that stuff and I are me and my buddys have sure nuff caught our share of trophy type boar hogs. I like hog dogs that find hogs it makes me no difference how they do it in the wind nose in the air are nose on the ground are a ton of bottom are just enuff bottom to get the job done as long as they are hog dogs and produce hogs. I think a man can get to caught up in all the do's and dont's of all this kind of stuff and forget about a real hog dog is a hog that produces pork day in and day out and of course gonna have a bad day here are there. I think a lot of people miss that there is just some dogs out there that know how to find a hog and were to look then there are some that have to work their asses off just to find one. I never worry about all that kind of stuff I breed them to find hogs and if they cannot they are gone and I just let the cards fall were they may. If a dog are a line of dogs is missing something then I try to add to it by selective breeding and hope it clicks . Then let the cards fall were they may . Sooner are later threw all of this selective breeding a couple super dogs aer gonna pop up and in the mean time a ton of good dogs for sure. There has been many many times we get on big boars they run us threw sows and pigs and sometimes the dogs get off on them and sometimes they don't and will run the big hog till he stands are falls out . I guess what am trying to say is I don't care who tells you what ever dog is not gonna be perfect everytime and really to tell you the truth he is not perfect a whole lot of the times but he finds hogs and produces hogs that don't make him no less of a hog dog .
