How do you know that a dog is really bred like the papers show?? I promise some of the papers are phoney. I know for a fact that is true for bird dogs and was refered to as grey shirting back in the day. That meant that if some other dog bred your female that the one you paid for it was grey shirting.
If I was ever going to breed a good female to a hot shot male you can bet that I am going to be there at the breeding. I want to see it for my own eyes.
The only two hog dogs I had that were registered were not that good. I want to get my dogs from somebody that I know for a fact has good dogs. If they tell me that a dog or pup is good I go with that and it has worked well. I could care less if a dog has papers or what they do in a baypen. Give me a dog that can do it in the woods.
